Forums - Nintendo - Fire Emblem Heroes made $2.9million day 1

Does that include America? (Not the country) It released very late in the day over here.

It does say worlwide. And if we judge on Pokemon Go, I think it first came out in Australia and New zealand, and then hours later or a day later in America. I dont think Australia and NZ alone would spend that mich in 1 day.

So maybe its the first 24 hours per country. Regardless of the time differences.

The way people throw money at F2P games I will never understand.
Most of the enjoyment I get from F2P games is the "challenge" from not paying.

I would never spend money on a F2P game.

That's smartphone and PC users for you.

I'd normally applaud for the success of this game, but... these are from microtransactions, and I'm not a fan of those.

Double the first day revenue than Clash Royale, is quite respected. I'm hooked to the game myself.

Was Clash Royale a featured game on release?

Made more than many $60 games will ever do. Ahem Rodea ahem.

Seems ok. Would love to see how much it makes in a longer timeframe. Clash royale was meh in the first few months, but they made billions in the 2nd half of 2016

Great, FE's popularity will last far longer with this microtransaction choice, All my friends who are into Gacha games are loving it !

You can play hours and hours without paying a dollar.

If its true that you can only unlock 160 crystals in the game and you need them for character unlocks, I foresee people caving in and spending money in the future. Granted I don't condone a paywall to content. At least with other mobile games you can slowly but surely unlock everything, but if Crystals are finite i'd very upset with Nintendo, hopefully they're not.

One thing I'm surprised about is we can't make a character. Unless I'm just not there yet.
