Some people can read between the lines, and all of those images have been edited, or taken with camera settings/filters that make unrealistic enhancements to the photos. Beauty isn't photoshopped, but your pictures are. |
clearly you can't read cause you are in your conspiracy theory bubble when I'm not even talking about Nintendo and the whole point of the thread is to let people know that realistic is not just dark and gritty, because real life has colors too. And btw I'm not a crazy fanboy who thinks that everything is a stupid console war. Did I mention something about playstation or pc or xbox? as a matter of fact I own every system except the xbox one, but there you are imagining stuff for some reason.

almost every photo in the op has been enhanced in either photoshop or lightroom, hell some even still have the exif data from the editing software. |
the places are real, so saturation and brightness are not going to change the realistic landscape when those places are excatly like that (with less saturation and less brightness) these enhanced photos = still more real than computer generated images (videogames)

There is a VAST difference. Realisitic looking games are games that have things that look real. That they actually exist, or could exist etc. Realisitic games are ones that are non-fiction basically. I can easily imagine any game including that field of roses... followed by a UFO landing there and aliens piling out. |
Why'd you cal him a smart ass? I was about to say the same thing: to point out that what you were referring to was photorealism, not neccessarily realism. And the options in your poll refer to maturity, not realism. Two totally different things. It's almost like you're raising three topics

Stop being so cranky about someone seeing right though your own percieved cleverness. You'd swear that most of the world has never seen grass before, or the ocean, or any of the other bright, beautiful corners the world has within it the way you speak about it. You felt the need to let everyone one that bright colors exist in nature? Give me a break. There are dozens of games that have come out the past year that are bright, beatiful, and "realistic" that you totally ignored in order to let the world in on your apparent discovery tha bright colors exist in nature, so "realistic" video games should use them too.
Great job.
What's next, you're going to make a post about how basketball is an actual real sport that people play, and not just a video game? Spare us. We know, I promise.

You wish this was an argument. For this to be an argument, you'd actually have to be making a point.
