Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Switch online priced at 2000-3000 yen yearly ($17.50 - $26.50 USD)

Yea I don't think that's low enough for me if all we are getting is what it says on their website.

Cause paying basically $20-25 usd per year for being able to play online, getting an nes/snes game for free for a month, online lobby/VC and "exclusive deals" doesn't justify it for me cause those are really basic features. I will wait for more details before I make my final decision tho.

Wow that's much cheaper than PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live, happy to hear that and props to Nintendo for making their online service affordable.

A pretty damn good price, and considering the online is being charged for unlike the Wii U it's naturally gonna be better than the Wii U's online, just seems logical

Also wasn't really interested in extras, just online, so the extras are just added benefits.

That's better

but now people are going to complain that the online service is no where near the competition and is barely a step up from the 3ds/wii u days D:

I guess it seems reasonable but unsure why the range in price, are they undecided on the final price or is there a deluxe package? I wouldn't pay it myself. I mainly buy xbox live and psn for the included games and tend to use my pc and android for online gaming.

Vita, android, 3DS and I assume IOS is free for online play. If you plan to keep the Switch 5 years and lets say the service costs about $30 approx Europe/US then that is $150 you will be spending if online play is important to you. I personally wouldn't pay it. Both xbox live and PSN plus are exceptional value due to the included games.

Its really cheap! So even if the online service isnt as great as the other ones(in terms of games given and so forth), the price makes up for it.Hopefully this will end the constant claims that Nintendo will sufferbecause of online.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

This would make paid online more tolerable.

I need more details. The price alone does not tell me if it's worth.

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

$20 a year would be kind of a relief to be honest. So naturally I'm expecting 30.

That's actually pretty cheap
