Lol, everyone could see from a mile away that you used "gimmick" in a negative manner.

One out of 5 games they showed off in the trailer was based around a gimmick. Your post simply makes no sense. They're not focusing on gimmicks, they're focusing on the games that were playable at Switch events.

If a gimmick based game isn't a bad thing then what are you complaining about exactly?

The hell are you talking about?  What did I complain about?  I made a comment that they're targeting highly social young adults.  Why are you offended by that?

And, as I said, if you think shaving and milking are the same game, direct your comments toward Nintendo.  They refer to them as different games.  Are you saying that Nintendo is wrong?  Or do you really just want to argue about something that is incredibly petty and meaningless?  Here, since you missed it the first time:  "Play Party Games that Are as Hilarious To Watch as they Are To Play - Anywhere!"

It's one game because it's on one cartridge, what's so hard to understand about that? Are we going to seperate every game now when it has different modes or minigames, lol? So Mario Party is like 100+ games now! Nintendo only focuses on shallow games, just look at those 100 different Mario Party games they released this year!

Great logic.

Arms isn't a gimmick game?  Seriously?  What about milking, shaving, sword fighting, gun fighting, bottle shaking, cat skinning, and whatever else I can't remember?  You're going to tell me that they're probably deep and nuanced games, aren't you?

Also, I'm kind of curious, but what does this have to do with Sony?

Why is arms a gimmick game?

It's being presented as one, certainly.  I could be wrong about it actually being one, though, if it really does end up being a full featured fighting game that controls well.  Still, I don't think that's what they're trying to communicate with this advertisement.

Well you can play with the Pro Controller, but yeah motion controls are the ones advertised. Anyway, I'll wait. Already learned my lesson with Splatoon.

As long as we're copying PR talk, how's the Gameboy brand doing? Remember when Nintendo said the DS would be a third pillar and not replace the gameboy line?

1-2 Switch is a collection of minigames, not a collection of fully featured games, no matter what Nintendo says.

I can't believe you keep arguing about semantics like this.

I'm sorry, but aren't you the one who started these semantics by naming every single mini game in 1,2 Switch a game on it's own when every other breathing organism can see it's a collection? Here's what you wrote:

Since when are Breath of the Wild, Arms, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2 gimmick games? The only game they showed that was built around a "gimmick" was 1-2 Switch. And I have a feeling that game will outsell the majority of Sony's first party titles anyway.

Your comment made it pretty obvious that you didn't include them all into one game, but seperated them to make it sound bigger. Then you grasped a straw with digging out what Nintendo calls them, when again, everyone else can see it's a collection.

Trailer is co cringe. They need to show more footage of it being played in "tv mode".

Direct your whining toward Nintendo.  I don't care anything about your over-sensitive need to defend against everything, no matter how inconsequential.  "To make it sound bigger" is just stupid.  Does it really fucking matter that I said "games" instead of "mini-games"?  No one gives a damn except ... well, it's pretty obvious.

Edit:  Oh, dude, someone made a thread calling them "games" - http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=225469&page=1#2

YOU'D BETTER GET IN THERE!  GO GO GO!

Looked alright to me and I could see my wife wanting to play that 1 2 switch games looks kinda fun after a few vodka and cokes
