I knew you could make them drop parts and use it, but the way I kill them gives me different loot? That actually makes sense, even if it was something I never considered, as if I kill it someway I'm at the same time saving and destroying different parts, so what I can from it being different makes sense.

To me it's hitting the "new TLoU" button, but I'll be very careful with that, a TLoU like masterpiece is something I wasn't expecting this "soon" this gen.
(all my top favorite PS games were released right before a new system was to come)

Yeah, like this new dinobot that was shown, it has like a tank of that green liquid thing that the machines seems to harvest. If you attack it using explosive arrows and attack the tank itself, its easier to kill, causes an explosion that could damage nearby enemes, but means you don't get the green energy fuel thing as loot when you are done. And I am guessing you use that liquid as one of the ingredients to craft explosive weapons. And its things like this I love about the game. Its not trying hard to be complicated. It just makes sense and things play out they way you would expect them to.

As for TLoU button? Lol... yeah thats still left to be seen. But at the very worst this means that sony has their own action adventure RPG. A genre sony has never really been in beofore like this sine (you guessed it) LoD (unless we count bloodborne).

Some info about dungeons ( called " cauldrons"in game )

These are essentially dungeons placed through the world of Horizon. They obviously serve a great purpose in the overall story and were easily the most intriguing and exciting part of the game. It’s not clear how many are placed within the world, but they were incredibly challenging. A mix of puzzle solving, intense platforming and incredibly challenging battles with robots, these areas are unforgiving. They were also incredibly intriguing visually. Think of them as lairs that look like they have a robotic life of their own.

Uh, how can you know lore is one of its hooks without experiencing that lore and knowing how strong it is? You know what game was supposed to have amazing lore when it launched? Destiny. LOL. A lot of the stuff you're describing that makes Horizon stand out are in pretty much every other game. "engaging an enemy changes depending on which other enemies are around" is a generic statement that can apply to literally every action game ever.

And none of the games I mentioned are RPG's, they are all action games. If it looked more like a Witcher knockoff than Far Cry, I'd love that. Witcher is great!

lol @ the last part. Ok, whatever you need to tell yourself, friend.

destiny has amazing lore... when is the last time you played it?

I played vanilla until I hit light level 30 then stopped. I bought the "2016 bundle" during the Xbone holiday sale and have loaded it... twice.

Destiny has grimoire cards. You can piece together the story on Bungies website using cards you've unlocked. In the actual game there is not much lore to speak of.

Gone gold, hopefully copies start shipping out soon. Can snag an early copy.

The lore in this game should be good - Killzone has amazing lore and this one has more potential.

My concerns are;
Poorly told/weak story.
Lack of memorable characters other than alloy.
Lack of atmosphere/mood/charm.
Repetitive arrow based combat.
Lack of gameplay diversity.
Uninteresting skill development for an RPG
