Forums - Gaming - Yooka-Laylee has gone gold

http://www.playtonicgames.com/going-gold/

Almost two years since Playtonic announced itself to the world – and 21 months since our Kickstarter campaign – we’re absolutely delighted to announced that Yooka-Laylee has gone gold!

Damn! Time flew by really fast on this one, can't wait to play this on the Switch (Hopefully they'll have a physical copy, this game being on a cartridge just... feels right).

"Very soon we will unlock BackerKit surveys and allow you to make final adjustments to your game platform including Nintendo Switch, plus the opportunity to upgrade to a physical version for PS4 and XB1. Wii U backers affected by our recent announcement can also request a refund."

That's good news as Wii U backers can get a refund if need be and it looks like if you backed for PS4/X1 you can also change to the Switch version and the upgrade to a physical copy.

Nice, nice

Hopefully the Switch release won't take too long

It's earlier than I thought. Release date is 11th April.

Is the Switch version going to be a simultanious release though?
Great to hear regardless!

They can't seem to answer that question, like ever. I'm dying to have all details confirmed so I can breathe again

Kickstarter backers who want to switch to the Switch version only have the digital option...

This game seems perfect for the Switch but I will only get mine next year, so.... PS4 version for me, please.
