Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's online. A game to keep whilst subscribed or a game rotation?

So very little information has been released regarding Nintendo's online Service. The same few users seem to keep popping up in every post stating guess work as fact. IE "No in console voice chat only through phone app" but then we have dedicated switch headsets for sale which seem to contradict those claims.

The other one going around is "a game for only a month then" however I have some doubts about this for example say Donkey Kong snes version  is available for One month on 1st April for one month. Well what happens if I download it on say the 28th do I only have a couple off days to play or is it one month from the day you download. Alternatively is it just a one month window to download the game, once downloaded it's yours to keep whilst subscribed!

Either way if you only get one month that's plenty if time to complete most snes games I would assume. ( Also I hardly ever play the games I download on PSN they are normally just little Indie games

From the way it's worded it only being playable for the month it's available (regardless of when you download it) does seem the most likely outcome.

Yeah I wonder if there was a slight translation error or something. I still think as long as you get the game early a month is plenty of time. I would be happy with that.

I wonder how they are going to justify a paid online subscription. Even if the service is great, will they have enough games that even has online? I mean the PS4 and XB1 gets many every year. I don't think Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8, SSB and a few SNES games is going to be worth it.

"Monthly game download

Subscribers will get to download and play a Nintendo Entertainment System™ (NES) or Super Nintendo Entertainment System™ (Super NES) game (with newly-added online play) for free for a month."

I think they are going to add online elements in to these free games...... still unsure by what they meant by that but it still not enough. I do wish they do put GC and Wii games.

Well what GC or Wii games are you dying to play online?

Mario strikers charged football the best mario sports game by far. Could work pretty well on a small screen they just need to alter the controls, give it a remaster treatment and port it.

Well if that is worth the paid online for you, then great.

Oh that not what I meant. Its just I have little to no interest in them NES games. I never owned a GC, and I bought few games on my Wii.

If the online is cheap sure why not, but no way Nintendo would do that. I currently do not have PS+ anyway. But playing a soccer match in the metro is something I would like to do. But for now I am going to wait till the Switch ends up having a decent library and a more complete package.

I see where you are going I would rather see Wii/ GC games like Mario galaxy or Fzero with controls altered for the Switch than 8 bit era games with an online function.
