hi everyone, i am a multi format owner who is interested in picking up guitar hero 3. what i want to know is are the ps2 versions of the original and no.2 backwards compatable to play on the ps3 with the ps3 guitar? or am i better off opting for the 360 version, picking up no.2 on that and missing out on the original?

The PS3 guitar will not work with the PS2 games.

Do you have Guitar Hero 1 and 2 for PS2? Do you still have your PS2?

Have you considered Rock Band? It has a large setlist that keeps on growing thanks to DLC, plus 3 of your buddies can rock out (Vocals, guitar and drums)

Not sure if this affects your decision, but the 360 version can download the Halo theme for free.
