Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Goes Up For Sale, Sells Out Almost Immediately.

This is a trend for every console, they sell out the initial supply because it's the dedicated, core fanbase jumping early. Summer is going to be the Switch's first true test.

Why does Switch need a pro controller? I'm confused.

D-pad, plus it is cheaper.

To get another controller with both a D pad and the buttons you'd have to get the joy con bundle plus another controller grip.

That would require buying the $80 joy con bundle, and the $30 charging grip.

edit: also apparently you can get JUST the comfort grip.  Even that is another $15.

At $70, it's really hard to read that fact.

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

Nintendo made a smart move making all their shit expensive at launch.

Pocky Lover Boy!

It'll be available. Controllers don't suffer from this shit. Just wait it out.

Switch Pro Controller:
$70 with 40hr rechargeable battery, Gyro, HD Rumble, NFC support.

DS4 controller (PS4's Dual Shock 4):
$47.99 with 2-3hr rechargeable battery, Gyro

Xbox One Controller :
$60 with no battery at all. No Gyro. Extra Batteries; Constant cost, more expensive.
Rechargeable batteries + charger: $20

Xbox One controller with battery pack: $75
Cost $120 to support two players

The new Xbox one controller is $74.99 already and it lacks HD rumble and gyro/accelerometer/magnetometer, NFC, so you should think again when saying the cost is too much expensive

Wait, 40 hours rechargable battery life?
Is that actually legit?!

Without numbers, tells us very little.

The WiiU pro controller has 80, so its probably true.

Damn!
My Dual Shock 4's battery dies after 3 hours....
That $70 price on the Switch Pro Controller suddenly doesn't seem so bad.

What it shows is how much Nintendo fans want a standard controller.
