Forums - Gaming - Rise of the Tomb Raider is like a bad last-gen game

Screenshots don't show the jaggies and the low res textures or the poor motion capture work. Screenshots don't show the horrible AI or the generic music. Screenshots don't show the poor game logic or boring gameplay. What about you address those instead of picking out a nice view or two and posting them here to pretend the game is good?

Playing on ps4. Screenshots don't tell the story. Maybe you just don't like my opinion but perhaps my standards are just higher than yours.

Or maybe your opinions are just bad.

"Demon's Souls is the worst game I've ever played."

Yup. Confirmed.

I kid, I kid.

Nope, I just hold a very high standard on what a good game is.

And it proves how much of a fool someone can be.

Name me a switch game that looks better than ROTR.

You are a fool because you are comparing a system that havent even released yet(and thus has few games on it), with a system developers had more than 3 years to get used to.It would never be a fair comparison. Not only that, you brought Switch out of nowhere, since this discussion has nothing to do with Nintendos system.I can only see flamming as the reason you posted this "opinion" of yours.

And if artstyle is anything to go by, Zelda has much more style(and I love Tomb Raider).

Edit:So please, lets stop this here.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

You think that's bad? Try Gravity Rush 2! Crazy pop up, main character who always goes through the background every time the terrain isn't flat. Spastic camera. Yeesh.

And yet, like RottR, I love it.

Did you played the 360 version?

I'd take it one step further and asked if he played on a CRT tv.

The original 360 Arcade SKU only included composite cables.

I'm someone who actually prefers King's Field over the Soulsborne games.

Maybe he couldn't even do that and had to go RF on a black and white TV?

Well the game might have some slighy graphic problems but saying it looks like a last gen game assuming you played it on current gen is going a bit far dont you think? I can agree that the AI can be weird at times but overall it wasn't a big problem for me. I enjoyed the gameplay very much thought. It had lots of interesting little puzzles here and it was very immersive imo and it made me think of what to do at times. Thought one of the major problems i had was the aiming which is pretty bad imo. Overall i personally enjoyed the game but it sucks to hear that you didnt.

It looks very good in carefully made screenshots (as with most games) but it's not Tomb raider. Evil twin is a certified pshycopath.

The level desing is messy, animations lack momentum, music is forgettable, way too many enemies, repetitive 'tombs', autopilot platforming, slow cutscenes, artificial barriers, invisible walls, but ehh, still sorta enjoyable in an always something to do kinda way. Baba Yaga was the best part.

Played on pc. The graphics were the best aspect of the game. Thought everything else was below average.
