I mean that is what I said.
Which of these Nintendo franchises would work best with an M-rated installment? | |||
| Metroid | 94 | 75.81% | |
| Zelda | 7 | 5.65% | |
| Xenoblade | 23 | 18.55% | |

If they refuse to make M-rated games themselves, they should at least secure some third party exclusives that are M-rated, just to give their lineup some tonal variety.
Commission Platinum to make Bayonetta 3 or Vanquish 2, stuff like that.
Playing nothing but kid-friendly cartoons is like eating nothing but sweets, it gets old.

Sorry, I guess that I jumped the gun on the reply. Although the older games shouldn't really have received an M rating either as the violence was pretty tame.
do a Metroid with like a Bioshock vibe of crazies for Samus to deal with! she's a bounty hunter after all. Do a game where instead of battling aliens and stuff on colonies where she's instead like going after serial killers or something or other to bring back. Could be an open world esque space game where you travel from planet to planet hunting people down

That would be amazing but I doubt Nintendo would ever be bold enough to make it happen sadly.
