Deontay Wilder, Beyonce, Sam Smith, Lebron James, Spephen Curry, Chris Hemsworth, Channing Tatumm, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Rage, Systom of a Down, P.O.D, The Strokes, Wolfmother, The Roots, OutKast, Common, Emeniem

The list goes on and I'm sure I missed many more.

Is there even a defined range for Millennials?

I already explained it earlier. ^_-

All I can tell you is that every generation believes the one that succeeds it is a waste. The "Boomers" parents called them slackers and told them Elvis's gyrating hips would turn the women into whores. The Boomers children told their children rap music would destroy them and society. And now my generation (Gen Y) call millennials the worst of the worst. Fact of the matter is there are millions of millennials doing great things. For every one of them you see trying to be the next big YouTube star you'll find one who's organizing their community and helping move things forward.

Look, it's easy to generalize the entire generation when all the bad they partake in is posted to the internet. But it's always been that way with all of us. The bad is always brought to the forefront while the good remains in the shadows. Millenials get a bad rap just as gen y did, and gen x before them and so on... I guess age just makes us all crotchety.

Pretty much agree with everything you say here - except that Gen Y is the millenials.

Kobe is 37 and Lady Gaga is 30.

What exactly is your definition of millennial anyway.

Back to OP. Only the older generations complain about this subject in my opinion. And honestly it's quite pathetic.

Also you named Biggie and Pac. Glorified gangsters and murderers lol. I'm a huge rap fan and some of the new guys that are coming out are LEAGUES ahead of biggie and pac in both lyricism and their message they portray.

Do you think mumble rap is the only new tap coming out? That's just the mainstream. Don't let your ignorance cloud you and believe that mainstream is all that genre has to offer.

Also athletes are arguably way more talented in this generation. They are athletic freaks honestly.

LeBron by himself already surpassed Kobe (and kobe is my favorite player of all time) yet are only seperated by 7 years so that doesn't really prove "gen x vs gen y" at all.

This whole defining what generation is superior is nazi-esque. There is no defined line grouping you into one gen.

most agencies define it as being born between the early 80s and mid to late 90s.

Can't hold a candle to The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Ramones, The Velvet Underground, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Van Halen, Deep Purple, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Guns n Roses, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Scotty Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Joe Dumars, Isaiah Thomas, Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley, Dominique Wilkins, Hakeem Olajuwon, Karl Malone, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant etc

Sorry mang this is the list of legends, they wrote history, those on your list are merely good. Also no actor can replace Schwarzenegger, Stalone and Van Damme

The era of legends is over.

Why are you looking to replace legends of old? Those music legends didn't replace the legends of the 50's, those actors didn't replace the legends of the silver screen.

New legends for new times.

I'm curious. Which 'generation' do you identify yourself with?

You realized everybody you just listed is considered a millennial right?  Or was that intentional.
