PS4 Pro Deal Throws In Two Free Games

Both games offer PS4 Pro enhancements.

There haven't been many deals on the PlayStation 4 Pro since its launch in November, but there's one worth a look available right now.

Newegg is currently offering the system with two free games through its eBay store. You can get the system (equipped with a 1 TB hard drive), Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for $400, the regular cost of the console itself. Shipping is free.

Both games are among those that have received PS4 Pro updates to take advantage of the system's added horsepower. They each offer 4K support in addition to other enhancements.

Unlike the standard version of the PS4, which combes bundled with either Uncharted 4 or Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's Legacy edition, the PS4 Pro doesn't come bundled with any games. For an idea of what to expect from the system, check out our PS4 Pro review.

What's up with all of these PS4 offers, lately?

They fear the launch of the Switch and are desperately trying to sell a couple of units till the inevitable day the Switch is going to dominate and doom the PS4.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

So it's not a deal from Sony themselves then

They really should sweeten the Pro deal officially, it's just not good value against the slim right now

That makes sense. I saw an ad that threw in a controller. So now they can say they are giving away two controllers AND a game for $300. Take THAT switch!

Either that or they are trying to safe their fiscal year since they expected to ship or sell 20 million PS4 units. Not that they are going to achieve it, but if Q1 2017 is considerably better than Q1 2016 they might reach the 18 million mark and are only 10% off.

Oh well a couple of hundred-thousand units. But the Switch's pre orders are already at 2 million since it is presumably outsold everywhere. The guys at playstatio aren't going to reach their target so I think Sony is pretty desperate to sell as many units Q1 2017 as possible to come close to that promised 20m units mark for the fiscal year.

Is that a joking post?

Sony and Microsoft are probably wetting themselves with laughter after the Switch reveal. Certainly the ps4 has nothing to prove its now a very well established format with a bright future and I suspect the pro will do fantastic business too.

Yep although I do think Sony isn't very happy that they will not make their target. Strange as it sounds 17.5  million uniits was a bit poor for Sony since two new models and PSVR launched. Of course the Switch is going to sell well (at launch) but to a completely different audience. A good Q1 2017 might crank that number up to 18 million it got the software to do it and a few sweet deals could do the trick.
