Forums - Movies & TV - Star Wars Episode VIII will be named "The Last Jedi"

Weak title. Next you'll be telling me that Rey goes off to some remove planet to get trained quickly then later finds out that guy in the mask (Kylo Ren was it?) is her dad and she gets her arm chopped off.

Hmm, pie.

Star Wars: The Great Revenue Source

Well Han Solo is dead, Luke and Leia should follow. Oh and Rey please lose your hand it's Star Wars tradition.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

In this film, Rey teaches Luke the ways of the Force.

Here's hoping this one isn't as bad as TFA.

2017 has kicked in so feminism will play part in this

Rey will be a something else as Jedi i outdated sexist yada yada yada.

I am fine with it, but I do see confusion when I refer to Return of the Jedi as "Jedi" as I have since a kid.

My hope is new characters and character moments that connect me more. My main issues with Force Awakens was it was a very safe film, and it felt every bit the first 1/3 of a story meaning my opinions of new characters is still "wait and see". If they improve that I will be very happy.

Or that's what they want you to think

I think they just want people to think about Luke (technically being the last Jedi as of right now in the story), and then be *surprised* in the end when they were referring to Rey.

Well I guess I hope I'm wrong, at least. But I really don't like where this new trilogy is going.

My friend's theory is that Rey turns to the Dark Side.

And that was before the title was revealed.

And I thought Rey was already a completely fake and bullshit character.

If she does turn to the dark side, then truly she will make absolutely no sense as a character.

unless in order to beat the Dark side once and for all she must embrace it, only when she truly understands it's darkness can she erm switch on the light or something.

you get the drift

As said in the other thread: Maybe this actually spoils the fact that Luke is gonna die and after training Rey she remains as the last jedi.
Either way I dont like it. I rather they'd focus on Kylo's side of the story.
