Even if publishers wanted to support Switch with their new games, the Switch is at a performance level that would make that difficult and they aren't even going to want to support it unless its hugely successful and they believe they can still make money even with the cost of cartridges. With the wii u perhaps a packaged disc cost something like 80c to manufacture but with cartridges (depending on size) its probably in the region of $5-10. That's very high risk if it doesn't sell well. Bomberman and street fighter looks like publishers determined to use the smallest cartridge possible to offset risk somewhat. It's like Nintendo has motivated them to release something but they were determined to do so at the minimum price to themselves.

The ones I'm interested in so far are:

Zelda Breath of the Wild
Arms
Mario Odyssey
Dragon Quest XI
Dragon Quest Heroes I-II
Fire Emblem 2018
Fire Emblem Warriors
Octopath Traveller
Shin Megami Tensei project
BlazBlue project
Story of Seasons project
Project Sonic 2017
I Am Setsuna
Super Bomberman R
Syberia 3
NBA2K18

Splatoon 2 should have been there as well, but I'm not going to pay to play online, so it's out of the question.

Its à décent first year thanks to Mario, poor first year outside Mario

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Provided Mario isn't delayed into 2018 it's better then any year the WiiU had.
Not that it really matters because it really needs to be competing with the 3DS library if it wants to succeed.

Nintendo definitely did not show everything they have for Switch, they defiantly saved some big games for E3 for instance.

Looks like the Switch is actually getting quite a few games, which is really nice to see! Sad to see Nintendo's total mishandling of this fact!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Very good. With Zelda, Splatoon, Xenoblade 2 and SMO nothing comes close in terms of exclusives.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Whys everyone so excited? Most on that list are ports (old games), indies and milking games.

Only games that I really want to play are Zelda/ARMS/Mario/Xenoblade2

Different strokes for different folks.. For me, there just happen to be several games I want to play. I tend to favor platformers, old scool RPGs, as well as open world games like Skyrim, and Switch seems to have all these covered nicely.

Most of the ports have at least some sort of upgrades. Plus there's now the added value of portable with these ports.

What exactly is wrong with indies?

As for milking games, I'm not even sure what that means.. Is that in reference to the cow milking mini game in 1,2 Switch? ;)

Zelda, Arms and Fire Emblem Warriors for me.

nope, the first year is great. I think the problem is for those who don't want zelda and there's nothing else for them at launch. I'll be happy with zelda, bomberman and a new excuse to play Cave Story.

There's a decent amount first year for sure. Any it's the first time we've had a 3D Mario and 3D Zelda in launch year before. Zelda alone will make it sell great at the beginning and Mario for the holiday season is another big push with the rest of the games coming in between to fill out support. If they sell well during those 9 months which I think it will it will have a decent userbase and third party will be more than willing to jump on board!
