Even if publishers wanted to support Switch with their new games, the Switch is at a performance level that would make that difficult and they aren't even going to want to support it unless its hugely successful and they believe they can still make money even with the cost of cartridges. With the wii u perhaps a packaged disc cost something like 80c to manufacture but with cartridges (depending on size) its probably in the region of $5-10. That's very high risk if it doesn't sell well. Bomberman and street fighter looks like publishers determined to use the smallest cartridge possible to offset risk somewhat. It's like Nintendo has motivated them to release something but they were determined to do so at the minimum price to themselves.
