I don't really know why I'm buying it to be honest, force of habit I guess.
Nothing except sonic mania on that list appeals to me, and no, sonic 2017 doesn't either, I dislike 3D sonic titles greatly.
Still think Switch has poor support? | |||

Fair enough!Hopefully more games to your liking are announced.Reggie did tease something Metroid related may be announced by next year, so who knows?Keep the hope alive!
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Looks like a pretty damn great lineup to me. Will be getting -
Zelda
Mario Oddyssey
Xenoblade 2
Skyrim
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (have it on Wii U but never got the DLC and really want to try the battle mode)
Redout
Dragon Quest X/XI
Minecraft
Splatoon 2
1 2 Switch (just to have around for hanging out with friends and family get togethers)
Sonic Mania
Octopath (because it reminds me of my favorite RPG of all time, Secret of Mana)
I just realized this lineup is absolutely solid if you like RPGs. That's so unlike Nintendo

not when you take into account their handhelds.......which Switch is partially

I think it will do at least twice of the WiiU sales. It is a attractive machine, does a lot of interesting things, some cool games coming...
Not even a single Monster Hunter.

That's not how that works at all. 80 games being in development as of January 2017 does not mean it will only have 80 games by the end of 2019. AAA titles may take 3+ years to make but things like ports, remasters, most indie games, most Japanese games, most kid/family games are developed in much less time than 3 years. |
Actually, that is basically how it works. I could have worded my post a bit better. More like this - 80 games in development now means the library is going to be devoid of big games, and likely far behing the XB1 and PS4 in number of small games at the 3 year mark.

Yes, I definitely believe it.
| Nautilus said: Wut?He sadi that there are over 80 titles in development AT THE MOMENT.What it means that at this moment, those are the titles comming to the Switch, not those are all titles comming to it.Nothing stops developers from porting/developing more games to it.Not to mention that there are many games that take less than three games to develop. |
Technically you are correct. But, in reality, not all of the 80 games in development will make it to completion.
That 80 number is certainly the best one Nintendo could justify putting forth. So, while its true that some indy games can come to market in less than 3 years, I think it is safe to say that no AAA or AA games that could possibly make it on to Switch (say, 2018's CoD or AC games) were left out of that number. So, I'm comfortable with my statement, if we exclude the smallest independent games. I suppose there could be a bunch of 2 hour long 8-bit style games.

What about Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?

I already own Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U with both DLC and I believe the upgrades are not enough to justify a double dip. I also already own Splatoon on the Wii U and I am really happy with it, but it's the same case. I'm happy enough to not buy a slightly upgraded version. And besides, I don't want to support paid online.
