Bob-omb Blast was loads of fun, easily the best battle-mode out there. And a lot of people like Shine Thief as well. Coin Rush is lame from what I remember though. And it also gets a brand new mode. This will definitely be the best Battle Mode in a Mario Kart game ever.

MK64 had easilly the best battle mode there is. Coin rush isn't as great as the normal battle, but fun and playable. Well, I guess having an option isn't bad, as long as the tracks are good and instead of honing the battle tracks, they did not just made more modes.
