So, we know Wii U failed and a few great games are set to be buried with it. Now, porting sometimes can feel unfair for those 13M who bought the thing, but let's face reality:
- Not porting doesn't help anyone. While porting can potentially benefit and be positive for the said game or IP. Which may afford another iteration in the future
- Switch launch line up is weak. Ports are not the dream solution for that, but can't really harm at this point.
- Many players skipped games they wanted because they thought Wii U wasn't worth it.
Now that i defended my point, here is my list:
- Smash Bros 4 Definitive Edition (I bet it is happening already) - $60 is acceptable if includes ALL DLC Characters + Stages
- Xenoblade Chronicles X (Don't think it will happen now that X2 was announced) - Since it is a 1-year old game and very niche, if it happens in 2017, it will be $60
- Bayonetta 1 & 2 (Not very likely, but the game metascored nicely and she made into smash, so who knows) - $40 (The Wii U version is $30 right on amazon, but Nintendo being Nintendo, i wouldn't expect them to bother porting for that price)
- Wonderfull 101 (Really want this to happen, although i know it won't) - $40
I don't think SM3DW, Splatoon and Pikmin 3 can happen now that their sequels are so close, even if SM3DW plays very differently then Odyssey.
Zelda:WW / TP were amazing, but with Breath of the Wild as a release date, i also just don't see it happening. Already have a Musou in development, so
definitely no HW.
Star Fox won't happen because it sucked, and i will keep pretending MP10 and Ultra Smash never happened.
