Games. I don't think either company has done a great job with games, but I'd take what MS has offered every time over what Sony has. And I don't give a shit about Japanese games, so the de facto standard exclusives it gets in that area are irrelevant. I mean, as packed as people say 2017 is for PS4, I might buy Horizon if it turns out to be any good. That's probably it, since I have absolutely no faith Grab Turismo will be any good. Meanwhile I could list 6 or 7+ Xbone games coming this year that won't be on PS4 that I will pick up day one.
The Xbone controller is miles better than the DS4 imho. The absolute only thing the DS4 has over it imho is the rechargeable battery being included, but its got such a bad battery life it actually is more.of a negative. I'd prefer to be able to pop in some Eneloops and have a superior battery life. But the Xbone design is pretty much flawless imho.
I prefer Xbone because Live is more reliable than PSN, has better matchmaking, faster downloads, and better voice quality. You asked if its a big deal, yes to me it is a big deal. The UI is also much better on Xbone imho.
I also like that if there is a game from last gen I want to play, its probably BC or will be added eventually. MS is losing and thus they are also open more to services to makenthem stand out, so I like that they allow EA Access, while Sony denied it because it would siphon off some customers from PS+ and PSNow. In general I think if Sony were losing or if it were more of a contest than it is, wed be seeing a much better Sony this gen. Then again, who knows what MS wed be seeing if they were winning.
I also like that MS is creating an awesome ecosystem for gamers with their PC/Xbone merging. Meanwhile whatever I invest in on Nintendo/Sony platforms, I do so feeling as if its a one-off investment.
There are other things I am forgetting, but this is a long enough list for why I prefer Xbone. All things listed above are imho of course, and YMMV.
