Well I think if people aren't sold on it now, they wont be before launch.

If they confirm Pokemon or Smash remaster within the first several months of Switch launch, that'll add some significant interest.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Internet forums have done the advertising.

Weird question because you can't still think so at this point. Pre-orders already sold out for the most part, so anyone who thought they needed more time, possibly including myself, is wrong.

Some people are disregarding sales as Nintendo limiting numbers; I completely disagree, but I won't dismiss their opinion because there is nothing to back it up or put it down.

If you're asking if they could have benefited with some extra time, hell yeah. There are still tons of questions I don't have answers to.

I'm more or less asking if it needs the time rather than if it could use it.

Internet forums don't know whether to call it a home console; a hybrid, or a handled.

Internet forums are mixed bag of the Switch is doomed, how it lacks games, how Nintendo should go third party, citing price gouging and so on.

I never said that they wouldn't have enough time to advertise, but I feel that they aren't doing a good job atm

Barely any commercials or awareness outside the gaming community. Gamers will definitely follow this and know about the Switch and the details (which is why they preorders are full) but outside of this, I haven't really seen anything

Actually there is, we know Gamestop alone got around 500k systems and that Nintendo plans to ship atleast 2 million in March. Assuming they sell out, their numbers would be in line with XB1/PS4 launches.

I think it's plenty of time. I hate when its like half a year. Keep the hype fresh and new.

Unfortunately that's all that is. An assumption. Whilst I also agree, there are many I assume will state  that Its a normal launch amount/ Nintendo undershipping stock because each retailer should have one million units  in each region at launch minimum or something. Then you have people saying the initial sales a insane Nintendo fans who buy anything Nintendo ships out. Then you have people saying no matter what the Switch sales are it means absolutely nothing (though I have a feeling those same people will make comparisons to other launches anyway).

Its more of a wait and see situation at the end of the day

Well ultimately no, they do not have enough time to properly advertise this thing to mass audiences by launch. So to answer the thread topic: Hell no.

But you are a very small demographic that pays attention to gaming news by Nintendo.

It will be sold out at launch anyways, and they can still advertise after that.
