Okay, watched it. I agree for the most part. Nintendo's online service is limited compared to XBox's and PlayStation's. That said, I hope this is reason for them to price the subscription cheaper than the other two.

They better or I'm not subscribing.

I bet they'll price is at $49.99.  That's cheaper than PSN and XBL by $10.  But, relative to those services, Ninty's should probably be priced at $29.99.

Good points being made:
The (probably crappy) online service
The mishandling of the Virtual Console
The price of accessories
No more miiverse
Launch day games (though, in all honesty, Nintendo might be sitting on 3 GOTY candidates for this year alone)
Voice chat through a smart device app, and not on the actual console

The rest of his points I either don't care too much about, or they don't really matter in the long run. But those points above are the same I raised in my Pros and Cons thread.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

That's an assumption, and he says it will be bad value unless it cost less than 5$/month and he assumes it will not, so he actually believes that is gonna cost minimum 60$/year, both price and quality are nothing more than assumptions, that's hardly a good point.

We can all hope that Nintendo learned from their past mistakes and at least improved that aspect of their consoles. But history sure is against them.

I expect lot of bad done things at first but I imagine it will be improving with time like PSN, also, what if this turns out to be like 2-3$ month for a decent service that improves over time? I have my doubts but until they reveal that information is hard to judge.

I don't think anyone says their online service will necessarily be bad. People are saying that if their online is as bad as it's always been, which is really likely considering Nintendo's history, then they shouldn't really get to charge a premium for it.

I see that Hynad has already addressed this =) Yes, this is assumptions, but it's also based in pasted Nintendo behavior. I hope this'll be a great service, or that it'll be a lower priced one, but with what little information we have it doesn't look good.

I agree with him. Long time Nintendo fans are sad to see Nintendo in this state. I feel like they no longer care what core gamers want after Wii success. I can't blame them. I thought WiiU failure might put them back on the right track. It looks like I was wrong.

Lol, he's right when he says there'd stil be more nes/snes games left even if Nintendo gave 5 of them every month for 5 years.

They should've started a Classic Subscription service on iOS/Android like Netflix, much better idea, or sell each title for $5 like the VC. SMR should have had IAPs to buy extra worlds for $2-3. That audience isn't used to playing a little demo and then be presented with a $10 paywall to unlock everything.

Nintendo once again destroys the momentum they had going.

There's something about him... I usually agree with him, and yet while agreeing I dislike him (or rather his online persona/character), and still I'd like to watch more lol

That little conflict with those guys who made garbage Steam games was a lot of fun to follow

He's saying things we're uncomfortable with, which is good. If a leader doesn't have its Spock and Dr McCoy the result is what Nintendo ends up with, or what becomes of Star Wars prequels.

Not really, that was also precisely what I was reminded of immediately when first seeing Mario in a realistic city. I even mentioned that in some thread here some days ago. Twice.

Obviously though, this Mario game is made by a team of developers that can only ever make stellar games, so it's pretty unlikely that this one will be different and that Sonic 06 rubs off on Mario Odyssey.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8239481 was my post during the stream the instant it appeared.... Seeing a character like Mario alongside Normal humans is just jarring, completely breaks the fantasy game world he is in.

Lol, indeed, I knew I couldn't be the only one.
