Use the audio out of your tv.

Plug the HDMI in the AV receiver, just like the other consoles.

Or doesn't your receiver/amplifier have multiple HDMI in and 1 - 2 HDMI out?

do you not have an AV Receiver with HDMI inputs?

I do not have hdmi on my home theater. I used AV for my Wii U (hdmi to tv and av to home theater). I use optical on my PS4. But this home theater is from 2006 so it does not have hdmi anywhere.

HDMI ARC is the answer to your pleas... Your TV has to have at least one ARC (audio return channel) port.

EDIT: Oh shyte, I just read that you have not HDMI... hmmm, maybe if the switch has headphone jack, can still be used while docked? Havent seen a diagram of the system to tell the truth.

I was thinking about the headphone jack but then I remembered that when Switch is docked, the screen, everything may be transferred and there may be no sound through the headphone jack.

I could be wrong about that but I most definitely needed a back up plan.

I hope your TV has an optical audio out. Otherwise you need your ARC port. Kind of funny considering the dock already costs $90. That they couldn't implement a few audio outputs.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
