After the Switch reveal I'd definitely say Nintendo. Not sure who would be second between Microsoft and Sony as they're closer to eachother.

But who gives you the most value for your dollar? Definitely Sony.

That is debatable. I went from playing Oblivion and Dragon Age Origins to Gears of War 4 with no issue while I'm waiting for the next season of Killer Instict to appear on GWG tomorrow. All on a console with a 4k bluray and HDR in the box.

As far as value goes I think MS has really came through this generation. And as far as I know no Sony game ever gave you 4 games for free when you buy one game. MS has done this.

I get 6 games every month with my ps plus sub.  SIX.

And I can play games in 4k instead of movies.  Considering they're primarily gaming systems you really shot yourself in the foot bringing 4k into this.

Not really. 4K isn't native for all games with Pro. And the  games are across several platforms and there is stiill no BC, and no external HDD support. Speaking of memory how much does 64 GB memory for Vita cost?

Not as much as the ridiculous xb1 launch price.  Under powered console at and overly high price.

Not all 4k films are native either.  Your point is invalid.  Bringing up vita memory cards is like bringing up the waste of money that was buying a Kinect this gen or an hddvd last gen.

4K isn't native for all movies either. ;)

So which games are you playing in real 4K exactly?

I play zero games in 4k or upscaled 4k and I watch zero movies in 4k or upscaled 4k. Currently don't own an XB1S,  UHD Blu-ray player or a ps4 pro.

I do however intend on getting a Pro in the coming months to play titles in improved form @1080p as I'm not getting a 4k TV until the high end 55" oled low input lag 4k sets are $1000 or under.  Currently models which fit my requirement are releasing this for an expected price of around $2000-3000 from LG and Sony.

So I'll likely hold off buying it until the ps5 releases in 2020 or so.  My current 1080p 55" beast of a bravia from 2013 will do me until then!

You're really bringing up launch prices? That would be like me bringing up the PS3 launch price. Besides they made a separate sku later on and price matched. I don't see the issue.

And if you wanna talk games how about EA Access? I bet you're loving it on your PS4. Now excuse me while I enjoy some wild mods on Fallout 4.

Ps3 had some insane tech in it that meant it had to be priced that high.

XB1 was under powered and with a dying Kinect brand keep its price up way too high.  If the machine was more powerful then the ps4 then yeah.

I've no interest in EA access.  if I did I'd get it on my PC.  Those 6 titles I get a month with ps plus keeps me satisfied.  I don't own fallout 4 but I seen my ps4 friend talking about having fun with mods on them recently.  Good for him!

Now this is a touchey subject,  but how are all those jrpg titles you were promised on xbox getting on? Playstation has a shit ton of them releasing this spring.  Last I heard xbox had one of its few jrpgs coming cancelled.

Thread has gone full console warz.

EA will always beat them all. Too bad they don't make hardware.

My Dear Nintendo takes the crown in this. Selling the 3DS without a charger is unacceptable.

At the end of the day, they all want our money and I won't blame them for it. At least they haven't adapted a practice equivalent to micro transactions for hardware (the lack of ac adapter is pretty darn close though).
