This series does not offer it. I'd much rather have Gust than NIS, and Gust nowadays is affiliated with Koei-Tecmo? Do I remember this right? Seems like I should buy Fire Emblem Warriors. |
I got the chance to try Phantom Brave and La Pucelle Tactics and they're even worse than Disgaea, so yeah, I'd rather have Gust than NIS too.

It is.
Especially if you love Strategy RPGs and anime/comedy.

Well, I really like those things, haha.

Just putting that there since it was raised and disputed earlier in the thread.
This is cool in one way because Disgaea 5 did not get a Vita port as the devs said that the game required more power and memory than the Vita had to offer, which was a shame given that the Vita has all other games in the series on it.
This is however less cool in another way, the games have a relatively small audience and this rings back to the Wii-U launch where it will have 3rd party support, but it will have the 3rd party games which people wanted ported to the Wii-U over a year ago, not now getting them later with no extra features to encourage a sale, I don't see this game being a system seller and I certainly don't see your casual gamer wanting to buy an absolutely fantastic.... grind fest game on a machine which has battery issues from the get go, your average save file in Disgeae start to finish is going to be over the 100 hours mark I mean, you're looking at 40 full battery charges to play through this while factoring in zero time for loading, saving and retrying stages. Disgaea could eat 2.5 hours trying to pass a fucking bill in the dark assembly. Obviously that is just a portable mode issue, but still it is there.

Glad Nintendo-only gamers are being given a chance to try this series. It's fun. Just gets a bit repetitive between installments for my tastes, but if you're going to jump in - might as well be for the most recent one.

Just in EU PSN :(!
But Amazon USA got it for $49.99 while the PSN store for NA got it for $59.99....mind numbing isnt it? :p |
I genuinely hate the fact that psn doesn't have a single global store, really makes some things hard and annoying for no real reason, especially when XBLA is globally unified as far as I'm aware. They really need to step things up, but right now as the market leader they aren't going to be encouraged to do the little things to beat MS down I fear.

All I know about this series, is that NIS has milked the shot out of it. It started on PS2, and bitch is on PSP, PS3, PS4, Vita, DS, and now Switch. Probably PC too?
I might try it sometime.
Will pick it up.

I might pick this one up. I have a PS4, but I like playing games like this on handheld. Be cool to help games like this come to the Switch more frequently too.
I hear it's kinda grind-heavy though. Is that mandatory, or just extra for people who like the combat?

I'll double dip for sure if there is new content. If not, I'll double dip anyways.
Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won
