uhm.. you are aware that "high pixel density" just means they had "super high resolution" for a small screen size, right?
the Switch screen is at 237ppi, which is right around the lowest so called "retina" displays and a tiny bit higher than the Vita's 220ppi, but by todays standards is on the lower side in that metric

Even if that is the Switch's screen ppi it's right around or above tablets in the same price range! Not to mention that most of those devices don't come close to having the same controller tech out of the box for dedicated gaming.
But as I stated a screen can be 720p but have more ppi there are more factors into people just hearing 720p and saying that's garbage...

I agree with that, my own tablet is a 800p/8" device (188ppi), but because it's screen brightness is still in the top class it's one of the few tablets that is useable in very bright environments.
That video unfortunately doesn't tell us much about how bright the screen actually can be, as it's shot in a quite dimly lit room, but I hope Nintendo made sure the display is bright enough for outside-gaming.
In terms of pixel density the Switch is in the same price bracket as the Huawei Mediapad M3, which comes in at 359ppi for it's 8.4" 2560x1600 res display.
