yea, with android support and phone mode the Switch could have been a great replacement for my phone+tablet

Not sure why Nintendo and Sony are so dead set against making console and handheld quality experiences available on a phone. I personally would love for the Switch to have 4G, texting, and calling, and see the Switch OS become a competitor in the mobile market. I don't want Apple and Google getting my money, because they have done nothing to enhance games and entertainment, nor do they create their own content.

Hopefully, it won't be much longer befire someone jumps in and challenges the duoply, and finally starts bringing a better mobile experience.

They're going to have to fight against the fact that Google and Apple have conditioned their customers to see "free" as the standard price point for apps.

I wouldn't even buy an extra one for my Switch.

Apple or Samsung should make standardized ones that are very small (maybe even just an analog nub) and I'd be game for their phones/tablets.

Having all these weird third party options segments the market and developers don't take it too seriously.

Absolutely. It makes no sense to buy one when they're cheaper as a pair.

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

I have a Moto Z Force and you can slap all kinds of accessories onto the back of it. I always thought it would be awesome if one of those was a controller. I'd buy it.

Pokemon Go doesn't need it.

Super Mario Run does.

At half that price with half the tech (just analog nub & buttons) and I might.
