That's the case for the last 10 years. Why people seem so surprised?

Nintendo has never been a graphics juggernaut, and it has never been their primarly focus so I don't why anyone would expect that to change.

Still it wouldn't hurt I doubt the Switch doesn't have enough power to do more than a resolution bump. It should be able to also increase picture quality a bit instead if pixel count alone. |
I actually don't think it does ... Wii U tier graphics at 1080p is probably about the roof of the system, AA requires a fair amount of resources.

Bitches have gotten spoiled throughout the years. The big Western studios completely brain washed the mainstream audiences in the West, and they'll keep doing it because it has proved successful in the past and present.
Once again; Scorpio reveal video: "Power this, power that". Yes, power increases the possibilities of What a game can offer in terms of features and gameplay besides just graphics, but when you suck at optimizing your own games and are constantly being very ambitious, you'll end up craving more power. Its a never ending circle that sadly, has been spreading like a pest.
I completely agree with you.
it's because the Switch can't do graphically impressive games
Impressive graphixs: No
Impressive gameplay (maybe): Yes
Nintendo's strenght comes from the gameplay, not from the graphics (at least since PS3 days).

Agreed. Xenoblade looks better, but not by much.
Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever
Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe
Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor
Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Aside from few graphically impressive games, they had almost NO GAMES period!
Playing Xenoblade 2 before I buy Xenoblade 3 (otherwise I couldn't wait to play 3).
Can they announce a new Fire Emblem? A remake of Genealogy or Tellius would suffice !

Most people thought those games mentioned look very good. I certainly do. Does that make me wrong?
For the past few gens we should have already know that graphics was never one of Nintendo's forte. Like graphically they look good/great but never expect anything amazing from them.
