I don't recall myself saying that PS3 sales wouldn't rise, though I suppose others did.  I do recall "people" saying the PS3 would sell 600k in Others alone this week as well.  In fact I recall a number of people claiming that the numbers must be wrong and the PS3/GT5P is obviously undertracked, whereas I don't see a single person claiming that the PS3 is overtracked.  That indicates to me that either the Sony fans are just more irrational, or that the game/sales spike didn't meet expectations.

Good for PS3.

You cant really say its beating the Wii because if there were enough Wii's in stock for everyone the Wii would probally beat the PS3 by over a million. Then again look at the 360. PS3 is beating it everywhere.

 Being undertracked or overtracked could be a possibility. I don't really care. All I really know is you missed the point he was trying to make. If these numbers are neither overtracked or undertracked and perfectly correct, the PS3 has gotten pretty close to the Wii's sales. He didn't mention total sales. He just meant the weekly sales. He is saying that it is impressive the PS3 has gotten that close to the Wii.

 If it's overtracked, that doesn't make him irrational...he is just going by the numbers we have been provided with at the moment. If it was overtracked, his mistake...but it isn't like he has those numbers now. You were probably just meaning Sony fans in general. But if you hinted at him at all, he's not being irrational. Just going by the numbers we've been provided.

All and all, he didn't create this thread to challenge the Wii at all. If anything, he was just using it as a reference to how impressive the PS3 sales this week are. He wasn't even trying to throw a pebble at it. 

So, are the America numbers final? Because I recall last week that PS3 had an unexpected surge past the 360, only for the correction to place the 360 ahead by a larger margin. I don't see why 360 sales would fluctuate to such a low level in the US (lower than in Europe/Others), when PS3 sales were hardly affected.

Edit: Guess the PS3 number for the US was adjusted upward last week as well. I remember the PS3 first beating the 360 by a few thousand, the 360 beating the PS3 by 10,000, and now the data for last week says they were essentially tied.
