Holy shit that's waaaaaaaay too high. The ps4/xb1 will cost $199 this holiday. And they're more powerful.
Plus paid online. That will make a lot of people unhappy. It was one of the biggest pluses the Wii U fans mentioned.

Nintendo is too greedy. They could sell the switch for $250 and still make a profit, no?

Welp, so much for this being a hit. At least at launch. The max they could have gotten away with is $249. Though, if they wanted a really great chance at success, it would have to be $199. And now with paid online? ARe they actually going to improve to the levels of XBL and PS+? Are they at least offering free games?
My guess is this is going to happen just like the 3DS, only to an even worse extent, with lower sales. Then, Nintendo will be forced to drop the price by ~$80 just to not fail completely. Mobile may be Nintendo's future after all.
To all of you screaming overpriced, Nvidia is always expensive in comparison with AMD... at the same time are always better than AMD so there you have.
34 years playing games.
I don't buy a Nintendo console for more than $199 anymore. $250 I might for multiple exceptional games but from what I've seen thus far it's not enough, although Wii U has less after multiple years where the Switch seems to have more in the first year.
That's quite allright. It's the same as the Wii U and the hardware looks a lot more advanced.
The real problem is the paying for online services.

Overpriced, that's going to be CAD 400.
But it has the Zelda, in less than 2 months.
Need more details.

No, it has to be far better than that. The Wii had free online services, and people called it crappy. It better be XBL levels of good, with all of your VC purchases able to transfer over and none of that rebuy your games BS. |
They didnt mention that stuff at all.... why? because it wont.
Nintendo expect you to rebuy all the games, you already own, on your older systems again.
