unless the Cellphone is used just as a screen I don't believe the supplemental computing device would help too much in this case.

The wireless communication to transfer that data, have the phone process it, and send it back to the switch will be slower than the switch just processing it itself.

I hope they'll wait with it until we actually have AAA games of good quality in VR. Nintendo's hardware quality always lags behind, so if they would release avirtual reality headset now, it would probably be terrible. Also, Nintendo games are often casual, so there would be little interest.
