I think the game would do well on PS4, but Microsoft likely own the code and assets as we know they own the IP. The concept of the game and environments looks great but the gameplay looked quite boring to me.

Best leave it as a game not made. MS wasted money, Platinum wasted time (but presumably still got paid). What's done is done.
Hmm, pie.
They need to:
1) get rid of Co op and mp
2) team up with Japan Studio
3) salvage whatever they can by altering the looks
4) use combat engine from Nier or Bayonetta
5) get rid of pet dragon thing and give the main character more abilities via transformation
6) use Gravity Rush fly, float mechanics to create new moves sets when transformed
Also, the way Kamiya is, I doubt he will ever work with MS again considering his temper etc. Since that bridge has been burnt I think he should just come out and say what happened, what the budget was, what they were being paid etc.

The last thing they need to do is revive a failed product that was clearly too ambitious for its own good and was going to bomb in sales anyway. Leave that shit to Nintendo, who at least managed to reign devs in to make Bayonetta 2 and Devil's Turd and (supposedly) Beyond Good & Evil 2. Though I suspect this project will stay dead, which is why it's caused Kamiya such heartbreak. |
It's not even about 'saving the game' to the Sony hardcore you're talking about, it's more about they just want the game to be exclusive to their system now to try and say they got another console's exclusive to try to and rub it in and try to use it as a point to how great their favorite console is and feel 'superior' in their favorite console, as usual. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the people saying it should be 'saved on PS4' wouldn't even buy it on PS4 or have any interest in it, they just want it to happen because of how they can spin it in their favour to try to claim yet again how 'superior' their favorite console is.

If people bother him, he'll probably say why it was cancelled, blaming Microsoft, very likely. |
I think this is big enough on its own to bother him. Once he has got over the stress of it all in sure we will hear more. If life to Geoff Keighley cover it on his show.

how can it be in "development hell", when the contract reportedly was made in late 2013 - it's only been a bit more than 3 years since and AAA game development these days usually takes 4-5years btw afaik there is no indication that The Order was ever in "development hell" |
True, development hell was an exaggeration.
Both suffered delays and illicited signs they would not be all they were hoped to be.

Eh I'd personally rather Sony spend their focus and money elsewhere. I never saw anything that interested me about Scalebound.
What? There is a reason MS cancelled the game and it's not because they are idiots who don't want exclusives. It's because the game is having development problems and is not looking good. So for Sony to pick it up would just make it a money pit for them instead of MS.
Let a 3rd party pick it up if and put it on all platforms and maybe make some money. But maybe just let it die.
