It is just a matter of who the IP belongs. And how long the exclusivity goes.

I belive the game code is Platinum´s property. MS could force them to never reuse the games assets.

If they missed all contracts dead line there is noting to blame MS for being thoughtfull with their money. A 5 years development cycle was insane to begin with.

And agreed King; MS needs to have a solid E3, because right now this doesn't look good for Scorpio. Since MS owns the IP I guess they could give it to someone else. MS needs to speak out about this soon.

Well you shouldnt buy a console for 1 single unreleased game. 

I am too honestly. Game continued to look worse everytime they showed it, and it's been too long sicne the reveal. Would rather them focus on Bayo 3 on Switch.

Pretty terrible news. It looked underwhelming but given the talent at the studio I was still optimistic it would end up being at least a 7/10, and given it's a JRPG, would be a much needed addition to X1's lineup.

I would say MS need to be worried, given another cancellation, the fact that Crackdown 3 seems to be progressing slowly, if at all, and because Halo and Gears aren't what they used to be, commercially or critically. But I'm not convinced they care anymore.
