In all seriousness, an Uncharted movie is bound to be terrible. All video game movies are.
I hear that it was already made in 1981, but Nathan goes by character named Indiana and it takes place in the past.
Isn't that something similar to what ubisoft said before the asscreed movie launched and it turned out to be arse even though it had zomg worthy actors?

I wanna say it sucks but Uncharted lends itself to the big screen. It's basically the typical indiana jones-esque adventure movie....It's still gonna suck :/

I actually have some weird feeling that this movie is going to be amazing and kinda willing to bet on it. Of course that all comes down to who they cast as Nathan Drake. I think with the right cast, this movie is going to not just be the best video game movie. I think it's going to be a solid film period. Maybe a 7.5-8/10 on IMBD and RT might hold a solid 60-70%. Which would be outrageous for a video game film.
My faith lies more on the actors than it is on the script. Naughty Dog is supporting the script.... right? Because the original film pitch with Wahlberg sounded terrible.

I didn't even bother watching Ratchet and Clank. It just looked so bland and uninspired, which doesn't even make sense considering the source material!
Part of what makes Uncharted so enjoyable is spending time and having lower moments with the cast. I worry if you compress that down to 90-120 minutes it will just come across as generic adventure because they have to get to big set pieces.
I actually loved seeing Nathan and Elena's home life playing video games together. It brought heart and sucked me in so I really cared when I'm being chased by the truck with machine gun or traversing a platform area.
