Do you know the difference between trolling and flaming? At this point I have to ask. |
Yes. Either address my points or leave me alone. You're wasting my time at this point with shit like this.

You should be grateful that there's still someone who gave you the benefit of the doubt for so long. The mods couldn't even be bothered to respond to you when you said that they are doing it wrong. It's not worth their time and they are right for ignoring you. I would have done the same, but thread-wise this has been a really disappointing weekend. |
Hmm, I guess we need to come up with something else to discuss, then!!

That's kind of rude to say about Kerotan.

That does no address his points though.

What he is saying is that trolling should be allowed, but from his own perspective he isn't saying that. There has been more than this one occasion where it was clear to me that his definition of words and perception of events greatly differ from how the vast majority of people use and see them. |
"The vast majority of people" - yeah I don't think so unless the vast majority of people take reading something that they don't like as trolling. I've always been a proponent of allowing people to speak their mind. If you can't counterargue then fine. But I suppose in this day and age, if you don't like something then you have to shut it down even though no harm is coming out of it.

What you call "people speaking their mind" is a toxic influence on the forums. Harm does come out of it, because it turns discussions into petty console wars that stifle rational thought. I, like most people here, want to have conversations with people who understand the market and make reasonable analyses. Kerotan's cheerleading and your vitriol are the antithesis of that.

Those are trolling posts, plain and simple and should be modded (thank you btw for showing that I was right about how some people are above the rules). Not everyone can get away with those comments like those. I am talking about posts that offer opinion about sales of a system, for example - ones that do not attack or troll individuals.

It only stifles rational thought if you let facts bother you. If me comparing sales of system x and system y showing that system y is underperforming bothers you or is "vitriolic" per you opinion then that should not be my problem.

Well fuck, can't argue with that lol :P |
I can and I have. Surely it's not hard for you to see why that is trolling, right?

I didn't say that. i said that YOUR version of trolling is not actual trolling in these cases but overly sensitive people who get bothered by disagreements. Didn't you say something about rules being changed just for your crusade after a frog? You don't want to address my points and that's why you're resorting this shit.
