socom confrontation i think, is one of the most underrated exlucisves for ps3 this year. but i think it can make ps2 owners make the jump to a ps3.

each previous socom title for ps2 sold over 1 million (cept for combined assault), one close to 4 million. and a lot of people played socom online. with confrontation allowing online play only, i think it can have a big (not gt5p big) impact on ps3 hardware sales for a 2 weeks or so.

I think the game will do well, since the PS3's online capabilities is far greater than the PS2's! We can only wait and see :D

It will do better than Warhawk, and probably will sell close to 1 million LTD, which will be amazing for an online-only game.

but I don't think it will be what brings PS2 owners to PS3, MGS4 will, FFXIII will, GoW3 Will and GT5 will.

I don't see it as a system-seller. It will be very popular, but MGS and stuff like that.

When I heard last summer about talk of a Socom game coming towards the end of last year (speculation by game sites) I knew that I had to get a PS3 just for that game. In fact, it's the reason why I bought the PS3 when I did, I've just been enjoying it and games that have come out since.
