I do like the sound of this. Hopefully PS4 is on the path for PS2 numbers, which would be higher than my prediction.

Its not going to sell 150m+ units.

But yes its ahead of the PS2 now... on its 3rd year, and might still be so after its 4th.

After that though... even if sony did everything right, I have a hard time imagineing it could end up as high as the PS2 lifetime sales.

The PS4 is only ahead if you use a skewed comparison in favor of the PS4. If you launch-align sales for all three major regions, the PS4 already trails by about 10m units.

I think its the otherway around (skewed towards PS2).

In the end things are as they are.

A launch date is a launch date, reguardless of if you launch simultanious world wide.

PS4 is still ahead of the PS2, if you go by launch dates (and dont skew things in favor of the PS2).

Uncharted: Lost Legacy on the way! Though, I think we get more spin - offs/ DLC before UC5, at least for this gen.

Didn't outsell GTA V, so we all know it didn't.

I think Sony were aiming for Minecraft numbers. So with these numbers, Shuhei is going to get sacked in the morning and Naughty Dog closed. Don't worry though, the Uncharted and TLOU IPs will be put to good use in Sony's mobile gaming division.
