The price.

PS4pro will be 349$, when the Xbox Scorpio is 449$ or 499$.

The question is simply just a matter of, if people are willing to pay 100$-150$ more to get a scorpio?

I think Sony plan is to fight them with exclusives. ei. Games,games,games.... and cheaper price.

So your answer is: Yes.

Yes, I think the scorpio will be stronger in everyway.

I however think Sony are smarter about hardware design, and know how to hit good performance/$, when they design something.

I think the scorpio will be expensive compaired to the PS4pro.

And it isnt always the more powerfull console that sells the most units.

As someone who bought both a Ps4 and a pro on release day, I'd be quite happy with a late 2018/ mid 2019 PS5 release :)

I do agree it can be problematic to have the Scorpio tied to the Xbox 1 in terms of parity for the Xbox gamers, especially with the Scorpio releasing so late in this lifecycle

Wouldn't a 5 year console cycle be the shortest for PlayStation ever? I don't think their fan base would be happy about it.

5 year release cycle, 10 year support cycle. Last gen is an anomaly

The PS4 Pro will have more VR hardware attached to it than Scorpio's VR hardware. So no, in terms of hardware.

Who the fuck cares? The ps4 and the ps4 pro have been owning all forms of Xbox one in every aspect of hardware for year(s) now and that was never a major discussion point nor did Sony ever try to market or brag about that. I'm hoping Microsoft plans to sell Scorpio off the back of actual exclusives first and foremost but all signs are pointing toward them trying to tout the power advantage because they seemingly don't have much else to talk about.

Butthurt?

Nah more like bootytickled. I don't let my day be dictated by strangers on the Internet

I would assume so.

The only things that the pro may be more appealing on would be

1. Price
2. Looks (I doubt it, the Pro is fugly. But you never know)

Going to have to be with the way MS have been hyping it up already.

Shame for them that it will change so little in the gaming landscape

Every single way? I don't think so unless the CPU really is Ryzen and not Jaguar at 2,1 GHz like in PS4 Pro.

Even if they keep the Jaguar I'd expect them to clock it higher than 2.1ghz.

I wont be surprised. Xbox has always delivered more powerful hardware than Sony, give or take most cases they release there consoles later. Only exception is the launch XB1.

XBOX > PS2
360 > PS3 (Majority of 3rd Party games ran better on 360)
PS4 > XB1
SCO > PRO

MS do well when it comes to competing with Power.

Lol wut?MS had one console more powerful than Sony it was the OG Xbox and that was because it came 4 years later.Xbox 360>PS3?Lol no.It was hard to program for but First party exclusives spoke. The cell was a beast. It did had more ram tho.

If sales numbers for hardware is a category then Scorpio will still be facing an up hill battle (EVERY hardware category?).

How can you compare 1st party games? Different focuses in game design. I can bet you if PS exclusives crossed over to 360 it would run them better. Sony made a powerful system with so many bottlenecks it turned out worse.

If majority of 3rd party games ran better on the 360 than most likely it would run there 1st party games too. So yes 360 was a much better well balanced system than the PS3 and it was outperforming it on more occasions. Thats a fact not a opinion.
