Forums - Gaming - Could the PS4 Pro/Scorpio eventually become lead platforms?

Doubt it, they released/will release them way too late. There are too many people who only own the regular versions of PS4 and Xbox One so it would be a loss for developers.

Yes for Scorpio not Pro. When Scorpio 2 comes out the people still on XB1 will upgrade to Scorpio because it will be a lot cheaper then and games will be compatible and i expect MS to cut the OG xboxs life that time. Pro no because the PS5 will come 2019 or 2020 and Sony will still go for the system with a larger base.

I doubt it. Most people don't care about upgrading their console. So why make a game that gets panned for running like crap on the largest install base. First party games will focus on both to sell the more expensive machine, 3rd party doesn't care about what machine it runs on. They get the same amount of money. If the install base for pro and Scorpio gets large enough they might start competing on Pro and Scorpio enhancements. Eventually.

maybe not be switch to lead platforms, but I think eventually we will se some fetures that wont be possible on og ps4/x1. Like some vr game that will basicly run like crap and we will only be able to play it in vr in the pro or scorpio.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Don't see it happening. But I can see PS4 Pro having some PS5 games.
