The controls are the sole reason I dislike the game. Nintendo should have added IR pointer functionality.

Glad to see a need IP doing so well. People give Nintendo so much carp but they do bring out a wealth of growth in the video gaming industry.

Splatoon is the Super Smash Bros of this generation. It started out life as a small time, but ultimately fun multiplayer game. Like Smash Bros it got decent review scores, but sold amazingly well. Like Smash Bros the Sequel, or NX update will be considered a classic among classics, like Melee. In another four or five years, when we mention big name Nintendo IPs Splatoon will be sitting next to Mario Kart, Smash, and Zelda.
