Forums - Sony - Should 900p and 60fps be the base line now instead 1080p?

Nope, I don't care about 60fps, so give me the better resolution you can at the higher IQ possible. Being stable enough I'm fine.

Console users shouldn't have options. That would kill one of the last remaining features consoles have to offer. What about plug and play and everyone having an equal experience?

No, not every game needs 60fps.

Of course not. Why change the system for over 50 million users? Just because some people buy the Pro? Naaah...

I agree. Some need 144fps.

And some are good with 30 fps.

Sadly very few of those are on consoles.

I was playing Uncharted 4 a few days ago and was thinking to myself how smooth and responsive the game felt even at 30fps. 60fps would be completely unnecessary.

Developers have a choice and they want to deliver the best experience possible. If they think the game should play at 30fps then so be it, it's their vision.

crossing my fingers PS5 is announced after the release of AMD's Navi lineup of cards, we need a good performance jump to stop these stupid talks of sub full HD resolutions

Why cant the Standard be 1080p 60fps on regular PS4 and higher resolution on Pro?

Because there is more to rendering than just pixelcount. The effects we use today are more advanced and take quite a high toll on performance. The PS4 or even PS4 pro are to slow to run graphical intensive current games in (even) 720p/60fps.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
