I'm really wondering about how many of these 50m, are people who have bought and played this gen and previous gens, super Mario bros games!

It's so infuriating that some people may avoid to  try the game due to the very negative reviews, of which the overwhelming majority are about the price for the full game and not the game itself... -.-

You don't like the price? Give with ease 1 star... Sh@t!

And the media still talks about it as a it was a flop lol

It's not exactly astounding to mobile standards, Angry Birds was downloaded 2 billion times.

The thing is only about 10% of those is actually paying the $10 to unlock the full game. Compare to a console game and the revenue equals something like ~800 thousand to ~2.4 million sales on console platforms, depending on who is the publisher and the profit margins. There's the advantage, though, that the game was way cheaper to develop. Probably.

It's been only few days since release, has it been a full a week yet?

Yes, most are not purchasing the game right now. However, with time, the game will have generated healthy profits.

1 week vs lifetime.

Only 10% is a huge success lol ($50mil in 1 week)

Btw its more like 2-5% pay for the game

The most downloaded game on appstore history at release is not an astounding achievement? when it comes to Nintendo one has to hear the dumbest things on internet honestly.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Many in spanish, I'm lazy to look for an english one now, but 4 out 5 news I read on my FB wall about it are treating it like a dissapointing flop that is not making money to Nintendo, which is hilarious. Is probably because of the stock falling, media mixes both news and make dumb conclusions about the game success.

Awesome!
