I don't think this is people hating on it just because it's microsoft. I own all the consoles and I think Phil Spencer has said some great things. I don't really agree with the "it's not from the bottom of his heart" argument because, as long as someone as big as him is saying such things, it's still changing the industry in some minute ways.

But this is something that depending on how you look at it is really hypocritical, and on the contrary, I don't think we should give him a past because he's said good things in the past.

Struggling to see where you are coming from, but then again you clearly have your bias. I'm done replying here, its clear the people here with an agenda. MS could cure cancer and there would still be some trying to downplay that.

I think you can absolutely critisize things you've done yourself depending on why you did it, as long as you're self aware that you contributed to the problem back then.

Well Phill still would have had nothing to do awith it. He was.only head of  first party before he was head of xbox.

How is it hypocritically when all he timed exclusives and timed DLCs on XB1 this gen were set up before he became head of xbox?

Tomb Raider was announced at Microsofts E3 2014 but it was never announced as a exclusive, that means that they were still working out the deal and Phil made that decision. This is a main SE game, it would have happened with or without Microsofts involvement.
And for the people saying that he's talking about DLC, lmao, that's even worse because Microsoft is dependent on timed exclusives like Tomb Raider and Dead Rising 4.
However Desd Rising 4 is made by Capcom and they have money problems so it's fine, but it's not a full exclusive, coming to PS4 later which means that they didn't really fully fund it like DR3 and they just paid for timed exclusivity, again.

And even then that's pure bullshit considering that PS4 owners are getting The Division dlc 1 month late. And I have no doubt in my mind that Phil had something to do with it, and if they were really against it, they could have easily cancelled it, this is just timed DLC we are talking about.
And even something more recent is Gwent exclusive beta that they showed at E3 2015, so again bs.

Tomb raider was probably set way before E3.2016. Leta not forget that Dead Rising 4 was never announced as timed exclusive at first also. Its just MS being shaddy.

Phill had NOTHING to do with the Division. When it was announced he was only incharge of first party. The Division deal was set by Don Mattrick. Also you dont just cancel deals like that when they paid for it. Even though he had nothing to do with it wasn't harming XB so no need to cancel. Gwent is a beta so.it.doesn't really count because the full game will launch with no timed DLC.
