Because Nintendo has something up their sleeve. They are saving something for the January reveal that they don't want other companies stealing. Nintendo have said they wont tell us everything until next month, so there IS something new they will show us. Maybe it is tactile feedback.

Who do you think they are? Willy Wonka? Nintendo is just a video game company that knows they have to do something different to compete. They haven't even shown themselves even be particularly tech savy, and you think they're going to add tactile feedback to the Switch? Which would be little more than a costly gimmick...

Mr Wonka says Merry Christmas.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Something like this would be huge for VR.

The unit itself looks really small. That could fit easily into the Joy-Cons. If Nintendo is making a HMD VR for Switch, these babies would add a level of immersion that not even the mighty HTC Vive could match.

This is great if you applied it on Oculus Hentai games.

Whole thread reads like you're dissatisfied with what's been shown so far and are hoping for a "secret sauce" feature to fill a void.

What leads you to believe that this has anything to do with Switch?

And maybe the Switch produce electricity from the player's touch and allow you to power your whole house for free while playing.

They obviously have something really revolutionary up their sleeve, so producing electricity is highly probable, right?

I don't see why this isn't a possibility for Switch and as already stated will work brilliantly with VR. Even if not included initially a improved VR controller sold separately with it could be sold later.

It would be amazing going through a dungeon and then deciding to feel the stone walls and get a realistic response. Same again where you encounter other materials, tree bark, fur, glass etc. It adds to the gaming experience and could be part of the puzzles etc.

I'm longing for the day when this can be implemented, but I don't think it's coming for the Switch. It'll simply be too expensive

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Please send any complaints to the author of the video.

This thread is clearly asking you if you think the technology shown in the video will be something the Switch will use.

I am just the innocent messenger, calmly searching the turbulent internet waters for any interesting Switch rumors, bringing them to the good people of VGChartz and asking for your opinions. Please chill.

it could be, but to be in Switch, or any other portable, it must satisfy at least three conditions:
1) having been revealed in a working and viable implementation early enough to be included in the project, it can be later than the earliest phases, but it must be before features stop being added, dev kits are sent to developers and refinement and testing starts.
2) being already cheap enough then, or granted to become by the time the portable will start being produced
3) low-power consumption
