Forums - Politics - Beyond Parties: What are you?

What are you for the most part?

Social Conservative 2 3.92%

Sovial Liberal 14 27.45%

Fiscal Conservative 6 11.76%

Fiscal Liberal 3 5.88%

Libertarian (every state ... 10 19.61%

Moderate in all things 16 31.37%

Total:51

I guess fiscal liberal? I am certainly something else in the US than I would be in Germany.

All I know is that I'm definitely not too social and the opposite of conservative(progressive?). Also fuck states. If they want to be part of a federation they better stick to federal law or they can fuck right off.

All I know is that I don't want to live in a country where the words "social", "liberal" and "progressive" are used as insults.

Fiscally I strongly lean conservative, while socially I lean more towards the left.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

In theory, libertarian. To be more precise, I think that in theory, libertarianism is the most just system, but I think it can't work in practice because it ignores the different starting points people have to life: a violent alcoholist's child has a much worse than at life than a rich person's child. Libertarianism also doesn't work well with capitalism, because capitalism trumps individuals, so there needs to be something to keep capitalism in check.

Largely for those reasons, I'm social liberal. What I said above doesn't really explain the liberal part though.

I don't know nor care.

I believe all labels are used falsely. Conservatives are not actually conservative, Liberals are not actually liberal, as per definitions created during the age of enlightenment. They are mislabeled to represent if you are anti; abortion, gay, muslim... Or Pro; welfare, taxes, atheism... etc.

These are candy issues to a libertarian such as myself. I view so called Liberals and Conservatives as authoritarians. Progressive at that. They are the same in terms of destruction of our rights and abuse of state power. Tweedle dee and Tweedle Dummer..

The first federalist wanted to institute a federal bank and interpret "general welfare" in the enumerated powers to mean literally anything. No one at the convention gave a second or 'aye' to his 5 hour speech. He left embarrassed. Yet here we are today with everything Hamilton sought after.

What's wrong with being progressive I guess you like child labor, slave wages, no benefits, no overtime pay, massive pollution, unsave working contitions etc. etc.

There is plenty wrong with Progressivism. For an example, let's use the war on drugs. Prohibition is a veil that obscures the truth about loneliness and escapism that people suffer and places them into more suffering. for the sake of "Progress" that is never acheived. What is acheived is private prisons and increased tax revenue to fuel the transition to a classist police state.

These politicians don't give a fuck about you. They don't give a FUCK about you! What ever their veil may be.. it is so they can gain power. That is Progressivism. You don't want Child Labor? Don't buy from China. Is that too much to ask? Do you buy from China and claim to be a Progressive? Well there's the problem. No polititian is going to get rid of hypocrits. You got to do it yourself

Please don't make guesses about me in the future.

If I had to say I would consider myself to be a libertarian leaning moderate but largely a moderate ...

Yes, people I can see all sides of an argument including those from statists therefore I am part of a political master race that transcends beyond party politics LOL ...

Yes you do. That is about as fiscally liberal as it gets. You want the government to control the economy, which is the opposite of wanting a fiscally conservative government.

No, socialists/communists are against liberalism, as it is still a form of capitalism. Also, the end goal of communism is a stateless society (ie. there would be no government control of the economy because the state would not even exist, instead it would be communally run by the people in a democratic, bottom-to-top manner).

Well then the commie's best figure out automation and genetic engineering if they want that utopia ...

The two arguably most important innovations of our lifetimes ...

I consider myself non-denominational. If I agree, I agree.
