I don't know what kind of algorithm is being used these days to rank apps, Apple/Google constantly change it and constantly change how often the charts are updated as well. It's kinda weird that the charts were updated that quick considering it hasn't been 12 hours since the game was up.

I also have no idea from what store that screenshot was taken from. The App store charts are regional, so the game will have different ranks on different stores. It's the top-grossing App in Germany right now for example. Again, not much can be concluded without knowing what algorithm is being used nowadays... I am sure we'll hear from Nintendo soon. Worth noting that it's extremely rare for an App sold for a one-time fee to crack the top grossing charts.
