Nintendo doesn't expect people to play a 4 player game on a 6 inch screen do they?

You can take turns in Wii Sports Bowling/Golf.

If they choose... but this console can also be played on a larger TV. The point of the patent image is to illustrate the capability.

Is there anything about AR in the VR patent? VR seems very un-Nintendo when it comes to their views on the way games should be experience. Maybe there could be cameras built into the headset?

Neither the Switch nor the joycons diagrams say anything about cameras, so I guess there's no AR.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

720p is going to be absolute dog shit for VR, I mean I guess it can give you an idea of what the experience can be like but it's going to be like watching a movie through a black screen door.

AR would require some kind of projectors which draw a lot of power and not to mention space. VR should be doable with the NS concept so is more likely to be used.

Wouldn't Augmented Reality just work on the Switch screen?

The 3DS and even the PSP had augmented reality games.

Uh think people are talking about just basic AR like what Pokemon Go does.

Without scrolling through everything, anyone see anything resembling a micro-sd card slot?

Yes and no. In the console diagram they've put two slots, which one could guess are for game cartridges and SD cards. See it for yourself (top left after "Left- Side Terminal":

Yes its there.

Well, to be exact slots are referred to, not "microsd" specific. But, for all intent and purpose the illustrations/description prove it has to be "SD" as that is the only logically used storage medium at this point and Nintendo has used it in the last few mobiles.

Thankss

No one is arguing the drop in quality.

Yeah, i see. I was overthinking it then. Basic AR might work if there are some camera's on NS.
