The event is mostly for Japan, that's why they're doing other events the next day in the US and Europe, so it's not surprising that they're timing it to perfectly fit the japanese audience.

5AM over here is fine to me, that way I'll find everything about it when I wake up without having to deal with all the boring talk.

Do press in Japan, let alone Nintendo's presenters, really want to gather like that in Japan at midnight? Never heard of such a live presentation where you are in front of media at midnight.

4am in the UK on Friday sounds bad at first glance but at least I can wake up before work and watch it rather than it been whilst I'm at work and end up missing it :)

Not a bad time for me. Will I watch it live though, I'm not sure.

Being as they have it set up for a Japan time, I'm worried there may not be subs live. So I may just wait till next day for a subbed version to be up.
