Jesus Christ specifically, not Jesus who works at the local corner shop till in madrid.

Well there may have been someone calling themselves JC, but again, I'll say it again, there was also a person(s) called Robin and some of them were guitly of robbery, doesnt make the story of Robin Hood real.

So what I am saying is that JC is no more real than father christmas.

And what I am saying is that I disagree with you entirely.

There may have been someone called Jesus (as its a popular name), thats like saying there was someone in medieval times called Robin.

Jesus Christ specifically, not Jesus who works at the local corner shop till in madrid.

From a historical standpoint yes Jesus did exist as a religious leader. There was also a King Arthurian but no magic swords and his time period is closer to Roman times and was Roman I believe in Brittain. History easily get's turned into myth and religion.

It sure does, which is why anyone should dedicate a large amount of time into researching and studying information to be sure about any personal beliefs they have, rather than blindly believing that which they are taught through family, school or culture.

Which shamefully to say the VAST majority of religious people do little research into what they claim to believe, and the vast majority of athiests equally so.

When it comes to religion, ignorance is abundant in all areas.

It'd make a great Family Guy episode though, and yeah dudes a nut job and an ass.

Yes, lets focus on one form of ugly people so as to paint that one form as evil because we don't like them. There are jerks and assholes on every side of argument, every major religion (and lack thereof), every citizen of every country... all walks of life.

Mother is heavily religuous and I let her be. If it makes someone happier in life for these beliefs than let it be so. Not my place to get in their way.  Live and let live.

Not surprising with a needlessly provacative statement like "Jesus isn't real either" which really isn't necessary for the topic at hand.

I.E A Pastor off his meds.

No it's not. The point is to give kids something magical and fun. I grew up believeing in Santa and it was wonderful.
