Forums - Gaming - The here and now.

When it comes to gaming, it seems like the most exciting stuff is always off in the near future. I just got Uncharted 4 but Uncharted The Lost Legacy is where it's at! I just got an Xbox One S but Scorpio, THAT'S when it gets real!

I have a problem. Maybe you do, too. Maybe it's just me. I'll see a great game with great reviews. I'll buy it and I'll be excited. Then, almost immediately, I'll lose my excitement and start looking for the next big thing. Sometimes, while waiting for the next big thing, I'll go back and buy the last big thing that I somehow missed. My backlog could take me the rest of my life to finish if I stopped buying games right now and focus on what I already own.

... But I won't. I have my 2017 hardware and software wish list, already. Crackdowns and Horizons and Switches and Zeldas. More than I need. More than I can play. And yet, that's where my attention is.

Do you focus on right now, or are you like Luke Skywalker--dreaming of what's "out there" and how great it will be when there's great things right here?

Well I just played FFXV but FFXVI is just releasing in a few years. Stupid me, should've held off.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I tend to stick with a few great games so while there will always be games I want to get, I can wait on a price drop or whatever since I can play the ones I have now and even go back to my favourites that are years old

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

When it comes to Nintendo I'm always looking to the future. I'm not looking at Switch. I'm looking to when they make a home console version of Switch. As for their games the only ones on my radar aren't even directly from Nintendo. Bayo 3 and the next Xenoblade are the games I'm looking forward to.

I look to the future just because it's good to know games I'm interested in are still being developed and published. I may not have any reason to buy a game right now, but if I find myself needing a game, I know WoFF, Last Guardian, Dishonored 2 & DQ Builders is out there.

I try to focus on the now which doesn't help as I can't keep up either. My shelf with ps4 games is turning into a wall of shame, can't trade them if you don't play them. I've stopped buying cheap games for a rainy day, as that day never comes. Although I keep promising myself that, while having added AC Unity not 2 months ago. It was only $10! And PSVR has added another wasteful practice. I bought SW battlefront and Rotr just to play the VR content.

Hopefully video game releases give me a little break so I can enjoy TLG and all the PSVR games I started until Resident Evil 7 comes out. I added the RE7 beginning hour demo to my psvr supported folder, which informed me it's already up to 30 entries!

Scorpio is still so far off, don't care about it yet. Switch, same, no details, no care. As for games, if it doesn't have a hard release date within a month, no use getting excited yet. That way also no disappointment Zelda is still not here, or GT Sport. I'll check them out when they're actually close to release.

I tend to focus on right now, but then once in a while I suddenly buy 3 or 4 games at a time and never wind up finishing them all. Hell, it happened with the Bioshock Collection, I still have to finish Infinite again. Then, on an impulse because of Best Buy's buy 2 get 1, I grabbed Watch Dogs 2, Xenoverse 2, and Return to Arkham. Playing WD2 now, who knows when I might start in on the others though

Wanting is always better than having. When you get your hands on that thing you were dreaming about you realize that your imagination made it better than it really is. Now excuse me while I go play my imaginary Switch.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Looking for finishing the backlog

Pokémon Go and Mobius Final Fantasy are the only things I really play.

I still keep buying games and Toys to Life. Every day I get a new package. I can fill a 10×10 room with packages. That is exactly what I have done. I don't even know what's in those packages anymore. The same can be said about my digital games. I probably have 1000 console games on digital and I don't even know what I have. When games get BC on Xbone, that's when I remember having them. They just pop up on my ready to install.

I only play games for 10 minutes and move on to something else. Usually watch TV or eat. Then fap.
