Oh so this has been the case ever since the recent reform? |
Yes and its horrible dammit. At least give us numbers lol
so looks like my sources were right after all. Ps4 won november npd less than 100k and there were some who were saying more than 300k :)

Where did you hear that?
I'm not sure why my reply quoted that, but it did.

Fair enough but if true its the future trend they need to be concerned about. Is it possible that a) that the whole console industry is seeing a decline and b) combined with that.. MS have started to recapture the mindshare in the U.S in the console space -with the cureent gen that is. |
So what? Sony doesn't care nearly as much about the US as you do, otherwise they would be offering more than the U4 bundle at the moment. They care about worldwide sales, and even still they have a decent lead in the US. Even if that lead diminishes to an even keel between the systems or tips in favor of MS, worldwide they are absolutely crushing MS (though we'll have to see what sort of impact Switch can have).
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised at all if MS takes the December NPD, considering the amount of deals they're going to be throwing at the system over the next week (Minecraft bundle at $229, an extra $30 gift card on top of the $50 off, etc.) That doesn't change Sony's success one bit, if it does. It just means that MS is finally starting to hit a decent stride.
Now all is settled down we have to analyse the situation. So PS4 down significantly YoY is disappointing for Sony, no doubt about it but WW has more than made up for the lackluster month in the US.
On the positive note from Sony's pov, they beat the Xbox One by 100k and crushed their momentum. The Xbox One S was supposed to be the console that pushed them ahead and now with all the cards on the table, it didn't.
It must be worrying for MS and Xbox One , US/UK are the only markets they can compete but still handily being beaten, even with the 'S'.
Meanwhile, Sony is closing in on 20M consoles sold this year.

The minus and plus symbols have some issues here on threads, if you post stuff in between posting it, it'll hide it all, until you put another plus symbol later, then it gets back on that, just like happened with his post. |

Well, you can't ignore the fact that the Pro was released Russ month, which makes the win much less impressive.
